CHARLES Stuart
4th Earl of Traquair
CHARLES, FOURTH EARL, died 1741. He married Mary, daughter of Robert Maxwell, 4th Baron Nithsdale.
He was father of Charles, fifth Earl who died without issue 1764, and JOHN STEWART, 6th Earl of Traquair, .
2. William Stewart, b. on 27 February 1698 and d. unmarried, before 1764.

4. Robert Stewart, b. on 9 February 1710.
5. Lucy Stewart, b. on 18 February 1695 and d. unmarried at Edinburgh, on Tuesday 12 April 1768
9. Mary Stewart, b. on 11 August 1702 and m. John Drummond, 8th Earl and 5th
Duke of Perth, second son of James, 1st Duke of Perth, (c/m 30 April 1722.
7 He was the widower of Marjory, daughter and heiress of David Fotheringham and Elizabeth Gray of Baledgarno, . He died at Edinburgh, on 27 October 1757). Surviving her husband, she d at her lodgings in the Canongate, Edinburgh, on Thursday 4 February 1773.
10. Isabel Stewart, b. on 7 May 1703 and d. young.
11. Jean Stewart, b. on 7 May 1703 and d. young.
12. Katherine Stewart, b. on 4 March 1705 and m. in 1731, to William Maxwell, only son of William Maxwell, 5th Earl of Nithsdale, 1 He m. secondly, at London, on 11 August 1767, to Anne Fox, and d. at London,
on 2 August 1776). She d. at Paris, on 16 June 1765 having had issue.
13. Elizabeth Stewart, b. on 5 August 1706.
14. Henrietta Stewart, b. on 15 September 1707.
15. Barbara Stewart, b. on 3 September 1708 and d. unmarried, at Edinburgh, on15 November 1794.
16. Margaret Stewart, b. on 3 September 1708 and d. unmarried, at Edinburgh, on 4 April 1791.
17. Louisa Stewart, b. on 27 October 1711.
