The Stewart Heritage Trust SC023013
Through the generosity of Stewart Society members past and present, the Society has a unique collection of books, pictures and memorabilia relating to Stewart history. The collection is housed at the Stewart Society's premises in George Street, Edinburgh and can be accessed by appointment with the Secretary - click here to make an appointment . The collection needs caring for as many of the books and artefacts are old and fragile. . We would like to carry out further conversation work on some of the more fragile books and magazines.. The Heritage Trust was set up to care for this collection and to continue the work of buying books, research into the family history and genealogy of the Stewarts and ensuring that people know about this research. If you would like to know more then please contact the Secretary

The Society Web Site Development
The web site is an important way for the Society to keep in touch with our members across the world and for the Society to make new members as well as sharing some of the information the Society holds about our family history and shared heritage. We are constantly looking at ways of improving the site.
We have created an index of The Stewarts which will be going up on the website shortly to allow members to search all the magazines since 1899 and request any article in a pdf or as a photocopy (you can do so now we just want to make it more accessible for you). This work is in part supported by the Stewart Heritage Trust as part of its aim of gathering and disseminating information about Stewart Heritage.

The Society's Benevolent Fund SC000692
The Society's Benevolent Fund each year gives bursaries students who are Stewarts/Stuarts (or with mothers who were Stewarts.) at St Andrew's University. Up to thirty bursaries, worth around £250 per student, are awarded each year.
Grants are also available for Stewarts pursuing further interests or studies - often overseas but not always. We have previously supported students buying expensive musical instruments they needed for studies, going to conferences and so on. These are available to students from any University.
The Benevolent Fund also funds a bi-annual composition competition in memory of Gordon Stewart for the fiddle and Pippes. In 2015 it was for the Pipes so in 2017 it will be the turn of the fiddle
