Bus trip - price includes lunch.
We will leave from Inchyra Hotel, Grange Road, Falkirk at 09.30
Visiting Callendar House (visited by Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie as well as featuring in Outlander) Falkirk Muir memorial and the Kelpies.
A simple lunch at the Falkirk Wheel visitors centre
In the afternoon, Linlithgow Palace where Mary Queen of Scots was born. Just outside the Palace is the spot where the Regent Moray was assassinated.
Please note it´s likely to be muddy underfoot and we will be outside for some of the time. Wear appropriate footwear and a waterproof coat.
We will aim to return to the hotel by 16.30pm.

 Service at Trinity Church, Falkirk 10.30
Manse Place, Falkirk. There has been a church on this site since the 7th century, Although the majority of the current church dates to 1811. The grave of Sir John Stewart of Bonkyll who died in the first battle of Falkirk in 1298 is in the graveyard.
There are many places to have lunch nearby after the service.

Travel and Accommodation
In the event of cancellation refunds will be at the discretion of the Council and the President.
Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance.
The President´s reception on Friday and the AGM, Dinner and ceilidh on Saturday night all take place at MacDonald Inchyra Hotel, Grange Road, Falkirk.
There are some rooms reserved for the Stewart Society at the hotel - please call 0344 879 9044 (UK) or 441324711911 - ask for the events office and quote the Stewart Gathering
Alternatively there are many other hotels and self catering accommodation options nearby.
