Father , died:

(5) ALAN, the elder son, succeeded as SECOND HIGH STEWART.

On his death, 1204, he left two sons, David and WALTER , Third High Steward.

Arms.-The Seal of the second High Stewart attached to a charter dated 1190, shows the fess chequy on the shield (Laing).
